IBM System i Courses for Software Engineers

This course provides the basics features and functions of the IBM i RPG IV and RPG ILE programming language. With extensive hands on exercises offers the necessary knowledge for developing, compiling and debugging simple inquiry and report programs, using display and printer files.

This course is the second part of the RPG programming series and provides additional skills and techniques to programmers who are already experienced in RPG programming. It gives the ability to the participants to create complex subfiles with manual or automated paging, to use the advanced functions of ILE compiler in both interactive and batch programs and to understand the concepts of the modular programming, API handling and XML parsing.

This advanced course in CL programming provides a comprehensive knowledge to write simple and complex CL programs in order to perform a variety of system and application control functions like file and messaging handling, system values management, programs interaction, numerical and logical expressions handling and database access.

This is a wide course on Cobol programming language for IBM System i. It starts from the basic concepts of Cobol structure language like variables and files definition, numeric and alphanumeric functions and statements, database access and debugging process and ends up on modular programming and data queues message handling. By the completion of the course, the participants will be able to understand, write and maintain from simple reporting Cobol programs to complex application using Cobol.
